TikTok sent us to Tacos El Güero in the East side of town (so close from my school!)so we had to try everything they are famous for their "adobada" which is their version of Al Pastor. We are hard to please, but here are our ratings: Their flour tortillas are divine! So their quesadillas are better than their tacos. husband and I agree that their best item is carne asada quesadilla loaded. Their "adobada" doesn't taste like al pastor; the meat is porky -not a fan. Their chorizo could be cooked longer Their red salsa is the best salsa, the green salsa is weird. The green cream they put on top of tacos is not necessarily good. It is an expensive taqueria because a quesadilla with meat is $16. Everyone is friendly and they are really fast! Washington @ Lamb I went back for a chicken quesadilla and it was amazing !!! This is my fave now !

We've been wanting to try this place since last summer when it started as a backyard spot on the east side! We finally got to go yesterday and what can I say, they lived up to the reviews and expectations We ordered tacos de Asada & Al Pastor and a Al Pastor Quesadilla. It was all really delicious! The asada tacos come with home made tortillas! The Quesadilla you can tell they took their time to make the cheese get crispy as an extra layer and they were generous with portions all around (meat, guacamole, salsa). We paid $44 and I think that's a steal because Tacos El Gordo is really expensive and charge for anything extra you add to your tacos. The customer service was really friendly and above all I could tell that they keep their restaurant really clean ! They've only had this location for 5 months but I am excited to see it grow. The pictures don't do this place justice you gotta try it. We also asked for extra salsa and they were really nice about it. Thank you & we can't wait to go back. Flip the script and taco 'bout delicious! Tacos El Guero is a great spot for really good tacos. You'll find them on Washington and Lamb, inside the former Durango Taco Shop. The area has plentiful parking. I had Chicken Quesadilla taco ($6) and Chorizo taco ($3.50), which is topped with onions, cilantro, and fresh guacamole. Chicken in quesadilla is moist and tender, and Chorizo taco is very good! Both taste amazing with fresh squeezed lime, and there's no salsa needed, these tacos are flavorful! They also have dessert and it's a good portion. I love classic cheesecake ($5) and there's also one in chocolate. Service from Elizabeth is welcoming and friendly. The dining area and restroom are maintained clean. Overall, excellent tacos filled to the brim, very delicious, good value, reasonable price, and definitely worth it!

Amazing tacos! My baby was given a free juice by lady at the register with red hair. Very sweet gesture! Definitely coming back again!

Been wanting to stop by for a while now since the opened. Just realized how close they are to BLD when I watch my son play softball. We stopped by at just before they closed. We ordered some Adobada (Al Pastor) and carne asada tacos ($4) and also a quesadilla. The tacos are packed with meat and flavor! The tacos were delicious especially the adobada. The ingredients work so well together and the grilled onions a chiles! wow. The owner was in the kitchen helping out and he is an awesome guy! My son ordered a medium quesadilla and it was perfect size and delicious.... TIP don't forget to get a slice of cheese cake or chocolate cake they are both delicious.

They took over the spot that was Durango Taco Shop but the signage is still there with an easy to miss Banner that says Tacos El Guero out front. This is a TJ style tacos almost identical to Tacos El Gordo. It was good enough to subdue my HANGRY....ness. My last few trips to Tacos El Gordo was a bit disappointing with the meat being so dry I think this place has a slight edge. I do like the salsa better at Tacos El Gordo but a trip to this Taco Shop was worth while. We got here about 1PM after the lunch crowd and no wait. It started to get really busy as we were leaving.
